1. Sorting out the Aubameyang situation

I’m going to throw a controversial one out there; I actually wouldn’t mind selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. But only if it’s early on in the window, with enough time to suss out a replacement. After all, it’s better than selling him late on and having no clue where to go from there. Which, I wouldn’t put it past the current Arsenal board to do.

One of, if not the main priority Arsenal should attend to this summer is keeping or selling Aubameyang. Real Madrid gave the Gunners a time warning of early June to hear their decision which, in all honesty, is more than enough time. Fans have the right to know now what the plan is, although I get that it’s hard with everything going on.

More from Arsenal FC

Aubameyang is an exceptional striker and if I were the board, I would do everything I could to keep him. He is a prolific goal scorer and one that’s saved our skin many times this season. However, he is far from irreplaceable if worst comes to worst. With Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli proving worthy of a first-team spot, the loss of Aubameyang could even be a gain in the long run.

I wrote a post a few weeks ago which examined the three options I would like to see Arsenal pursue if Aubameyang were to leave. If you enjoyed my moanings and want to read more, I’ve linked it below. Go on, you know you want to.
