This Real Madrid forward could finally be given a ticket back to the Premier League, but it’s a completely unexpected suitor…
Three things are inevitable in this lifetime; death, taxes and Gareth Bale being linked with a move away from Real Madrid. Every. Single. Summer.
And this summer is no different. Of course, it’s not. Even given the financial implications of the transfer market, Gareth Bale still finds a way of making the transfer headlines. However, he’s linked with a club that nobody would have expected in a million years.
I’m talking about Newcastle United, a club who are reportedly doing VERY well on a financial front right now, as they look to have a successful summer transfer window. According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies are already lining up a sizeable offer for Gareth Bale this summer. It’s thought they’re ready to spend £53m on him.

The club is rumoured to be undergoing a financial takeover and fans are even predicting it could be near the size of Manchester City’s infamous takeover. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but one thing’s for sure, Premier League fans are petrified. I know I am, anyway.
Gareth Bale could be only the start, but if anything, this could persuade the Welshman to join. If he knows he is the catalyst to a huge project at the club, then he will feel a sense of pride which could sway him to accept any personal terms Newcastle set.
After all, the Premier League is a division which Bale holds close to his heart. Rising through the ranks at Southampton and making a name for himself at Tottenham Hotspur, he owes a lot to the English game. That said, as he is now in his thirties, I cannot blame him for wanting to return and kickstart his career again before it’s too late.
Do you think Gareth Bale will get his move this summer?
