Ivan Perisic

Inter began trying to move on from Ivan Perisic last summer, but it looks like his stay at Bayern Munich is going to be a short one. So far during his loan spell, he has struggled to earn regular starts and there isn’t much reason to believe things are going to get any better for him next season. Even though he’s played well enough to warrant more regular time, Bayern continues to be linked with a move for Leroy Sane, which would render Perisic superfluous for the German squad.

If Bayern chooses not to activate their option to buy, then Inter will be right back to where they started last summer. Perisic just doesn’t fit in Antonio Conte’s plans for this squad’s future. That means Inter will need to find a suitor for Perisic before his value has more time to drop.

He’s officially on the wrong side of 30, but that shouldn’t deter potential buyers who are looking to add talent on the wing.

Perisic is still clearly in his prime and could provide a nice boost to many attacks around Europe for the next few years. That should allow Inter to get a decent return for him. His buy option at Bayern was worth 20 million euros and thy should still be able to get that out of somebody this summer.

Selling Perisic would be a perfect way for Inter to free up some funds this summer for the last couple of signings they need to make to finish building this squad. He’s not going to play for Conte anyway, so they should capitalize as soon as possible on the value he has left.
