Alex Morgan welcomes beautiful baby girl into the world
Soccer star Alex Morgan gave birth to Charlie Elena Carrasco on May 7.
What a Mother’s Day gift! In a time of uncertainty and isolation, there are few things as wonderful as welcoming a healthy baby into the world, and Alex Morgan and her husband Servando Carrasco were fortunate enough to do just that.
Morgan took to social media to share her joy with the world.
With two talented professional soccer players for parents (Morgan plays for the USWNT and the NWSL’s Orlando Pride, while Carrasco plays for the LA Galaxy in the MLS), Charlie will surely be growing up with a soccer ball at her feet. Olympics 2040 better watch out!

Fortunately for Alex Morgan, she now has time to focus on caring for and embracing her new baby before going full steam ahead back into her rigorous soccer schedule. She hopes to regain peak shape and form before the Olympics which have now been postponed to 2021 giving her a bit of a reprieve.
That being said she’s still been diligently following a workout routine throughout her pregnancy in hopes it will give her a head start in her journey back to the field. The world’s been gifted plenty of Instagram stories showcasing her home gym as she and her husband tackled working out in the time of quarantine.
She now joins a handful of other high profile USWNT soccer moms including Jessica McDonald and Sydney Leroux, who are trying to balance their career with raising children. It’s not an easy task, but these strong women continue to succeed at it beautifully and Morgan is certainly expecting to follow in their footsteps.
I have no doubt her impressive resume is far from being finished. With her work ethic and drive, helped by the still youthful spring in her step she’s sure to have plenty of time left to inspire the next generation from the field.
