Chelsea fans will feel even more confident they can sign Jadon Sancho now…
This summer transfer window is bound to be a weird one, but Chelsea fans won’t let it dampen their spirits. After all, this is the first window in which Frank Lampard can actually invest in his team, since the Blues were transfer banned upon his arrival.
A few names have been floating around more than others, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal and Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund. However, fans have been quick to criticise these rumours for a number of reasons, an uncertain market being one of those.
Jadon Sancho is bound to come at a hefty price. After Dortmund revealed their asking price of over £100m, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool were quick to leave the race, leaving just Chelsea and Manchester United. However, the Blues have been given a massive lift, and in my opinion, they could even lead the race now.

It’s been reported by The Sun that Chelsea will receive a handy £48.5m sum from Atletico Madrid for the services of Alvaro Morata, which could definitely serve them well. They could use this, plus the fees they have already amounted, to persuade Borussia Dortmund.
Am I saying that Manchester United fans should be scared? No, of course not. Manchester United are the financial powerhouses of the world, we all know this. However, I am saying that Chelsea fans can take a lot of confidence from this, and they should.
The Bundesliga is back underway and with Jadon Sancho picking up a few minutes in BVB’s 4-0 win over rivals Schalke, this will be his main focus. His goals and assists have been pivotal in getting Dortmund to where they are in the league right now. However, come summer, he could be open to a move back to England.
