Manchester United fans, it’s time to get REALLY excited…

Manchester United are the financial powerhouses of England, this goes without saying. That said, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed he was confident that his side could “exploit” the transfer market, not many people batted an eyelid. It was taken as the truth, given their financial status.

However, this new report may be a little harder to believe, but I mean this in a good way. It’s been revealed by the Birmingham Mail that Manchester United have entered the race to sign Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Although, they will face competition from Liverpool and he is rumoured to be valued at the £133m mark. Instantly this works in Manchester United’s favour since Liverpool likely won’t spend this amount of money on one player, with Jurgen Klopp himself saying so. It’s why they dropped out of the Jadon Sancho race, after all.

More from Manchester United

Traore is certainly worth the money, though. Ageing at 24 years old, he is not even at the peak of his career but he plays like he is. Having had experience at Barcelona, he seems somewhat out of place at Wolves, although he has been key to their push for success.

Traore is a very powerful dribbler and this is what sets him apart from most wingers. We all know about his frightening stature but he uses this well, to steam past his opposing full-back at ease. He also has a cracker of a shot up his sleeve and he can provide his fellow attackers well too.

This would give United the firepower they need going forward. I don’t mean to single out names, but you can’t be taken seriously as an attacking force when Jesse Lingard is the man leading your counter attacks. It’s just too easy for the opposite side. Adama would certainly fix this flaw.
