Arsenal may think hard about this offer…

Let me make one thing clear; as an Arsenal fan, nothing would be worse than losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer. Oh, wait, yes there would be; losing him for FREE next summer, which we run the risk of doing should they not tie the Gabon international down to a new contract in the near-future.

With that being said, I think it’s good that the board are listening to offers. We have lost too many of our star players for free in recent seasons and I am tired of it. Obviously, the priority should be to keep Aubameyang and offer him a new contract but if this isn’t possible, I wouldn’t stress about losing him too much.

It was reported y various outlets a few weeks ago that Arsenal were anticipating a fee of £30m if they were to sell their star striker. However, according to a new report from Todofichajes, Paris Saint-Germain and the Gunners are going through negotiations and it’s thought the Parisian side are willing offer £34m for Aubameyang.

More from Arsenal FC

This is £4m more than what the Gunners originally asked for, which is a good sign. We mustn’t be too privileged as fans because we know that £4m can go a long way, especially given the current state of the transfer market.

That said, should the Gunners be tempted by PSG’s offer? Of course they should. Not only because he wouldn’t be going to a direct rival but because it seems like this would be the best offer out there, higher than Chelsea and Real Madrid would be willing to offer, which is to be expected, given PSG’s high financial status.

We as fans can just sit back and hope that Aubameyang is offered a new contract and that he accepts it, but if that’s not possible, we should try to generate as much revenue from him as possible.
