Arsenal may have their Aubameyang replacement lined up…
Wolverhampton Wanderers have taken the Premier League by storm this season. As things standard, Wolves sit in sixth place, three points ahead of the Gunners although Arsenal do have a game in hand. That said, Mikel Arteta could learn a thing or two from them.
Many players have been key to their astonishing season, including their top talisman Raul Jimenez. The Mexico international has been involved in an impressive 16 goals and 9 assists across all competitions this season, including 3 goals and 3 assists coming in he Europa League.
That said, he is bound to be linked with a move away as many European clubs will be keen on his performances this season. According to a new report from Tuttosport, Arsenal are in the race for Jimenez. However, they are not front runners, which is to be expected since Manchester United and Real Madrid are also interested.

Obviously, the Gunners won’t be able to compete with these two financial powerhouses without sacrifice. That sacrifice comes with losing Aubameyang, but it’s a sacrifice they should be willing to make since he runs out of contract next year anyway.
Losing him and signing a replacement now is much more efficient than losing him for free next summer. Period. It might not be a nice feeling at first, but it will certainly benefit the fans in the long run and signing Jimenez as a replacement would definitely soften the blow.
At the moment, it’s just paper talk. Until we receive confirmation that we are in talks and those talks are positive, I wouldn’t get too over-excited. However, it’s definitely promising that the board are considering replacements within the calibre of Raul Jimenez. Perhaps it’s a sign.
Do you think Arsenal will sign Raul Jimenez in this summer transfer window?
