Mikel Arteta should consider these 3 left-back options for Arsenal…

With the summer transfer window approaching, there tends to be a few common themes emerging for Arsenal. One of those is the search for a left-back option, presumably, this means Sead Kolasinac will be sold.

With that being said, I have located three left-back options for Mikel Arteta to consider…

1. Nicolas Tagliafico

If you thought that spelling Kolasinac’s name was a mouthful, then I’m afraid you’re not in much luck with his replacement. Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico has been the biggest topic of discussion lately, since it’s thought that Arsenal favour a move for him.

And it’s not difficult to see why either. The price is thought to be reasonable and Tagliafico is an excellent defender, much better than Kolasinac, if you ask me. He also doesn’t come with the huge injury burden that Kolasinac brings to the club, so it seems a no-brainer.

Ajax sat top of the Eredivisie table (which doesn’t come as much of a surprise) before the season was declared void, with Tagliafico proving a prominent figure to their success. Ageing at 27 years old, he is now playing at the peak of his abilities and is ready for a step up to the Premier League.

With the money that Arsenal will raise from Kolasinac’s sale, it should be invested straight back into the team and it will cover the majority of Tagliafico’s fee.
