4. Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is one that will always divide opinion, but if his performances before the pandemic were anything to go by, then he will soon win over the majority of Arsenal fans. He has greatly improved his work ethic under Arteta and the trust which the new boss has shown him certainly transcended onto the pitch.

Xhaka looks much more solid with the ball at his feet and forming an unbreakable partnership with Lucas Torreira, he will be excited to get back to action. He always played a short stint at the end of a match at centre-back if I remember correctly, so the defending has certainly improved!

3. Eddie Nketiah

Eddie Nketiah was just beginning to showcase his abilities to the new manager amid his early recall from loan at Leeds United. The English forward scored important goals against Bournemouth, Everton and Portsmouth before the break so he will be eager to get back to action.

Nketiah is a rapid forward but he prefers to use his exploits strategically. By this I mean you can often find him in the right place at the right time. Many of his goals have been tap-ins as a result of this, but fans won’t care. It’s not about how you score them, it’s about if you score them, and Nketiah certainly does.
