These 5 Chelsea stars need a boost in form.

With the Premier League set to restart soon, many Chelsea fans will be hopeful of a good end to the season. They currently sit in a top-four spot which they will be aiming to keep, however, there are certain stars that Frank Lampard will expect more out of in the closing stages of this strange season.

It’s easy to forget which players were in form and which players were struggling since it feels like a lifetime ago since we saw Chelsea play. However, here are 5 players that I can recall struggling for form ahead of the season halt.

5. Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud is a very hit and miss striker. While his participation is appreciated more often than not, he can have the odd game where he would be better off not playing. In the runup to the Coronavirus break, I can recall the French striker being used a lot by Frank Lampard, however, with no great return.

He did score against Everton in the last match, of course, so he should try to pick up where he left off. However, in the game against Bayern Munich, he was trusted but neglected that trust by putting in a shameless performance of no real effort. Still, I suppose that’s Lampard’s fault for trusting an ex-Arsenal player against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
