2. If anyone can beat Pep, it’s Mikel Arteta

Pep Guardiola is an incredibly complicated manager to analyse, this being Manchester City’s strength. You never really know what you’re getting with him in charge, as he constantly switches personnel, formation and even tactics.

However, if anyone is in the right position to judge his gameplan, it’s Arsenal boss Arteta. After all, he spent many years learning from the Spaniard as he was second-in-command at the Etihad Stadium. In fact, many have even drawn comparisons with Pep and Arteta since he took charge at Arsenal.

As we know from experience, this isn’t the deciding factor, as like I’ve said, Pep can change his mind at any point. It’s what sets him apart from most managers in the world. However, if Arsenal stick to their philosophy, they can surely give Pep a run for his money.

We can expect to see a very different lineup to what we may be used to as so far, Arteta has lined up to compete against the small teams (such as Manchester United and Tottenham, LOL). City are a different kettle of fish, so what’s required out of the players is 10 times as much, and what Arteta wants, Arteta gets.
