There probably isn’t any team in the world who has been more anxious than Inter Milan to return to action.

Simply put, things couldn’t have gone much worse for them before the break. In the last few weeks before the hiatus, Inter Milan went from right on Juve’s tail for the Serie A lead to 9 points back and in 3rd thanks to losses to Juventus and 2nd place Lazio. They also dropped the first leg of this Coppa Italia semifinal at home against Napoli, leaving themselves with a 1 goal deficit to make up on the road.

That result was particularly shocking because of how poorly Napoli had played this season. The former title challengers currently find themselves 24 points behind the top of the table and just worked their way up to 6th in the league before the break. Now things will get very interesting because we have absolutely no idea what form any of these squads will be in as they return.

Inter Milan will be without a couple of important pieces for this match. Diego Godin and Mattias Vecino are both expected to miss the match with muscular injuries. However, that won’t stop Antonio Conte from using the same 3-5-2 formation that he’s relied on for years.

GK: Samir Handanovic

When your club happens to have arguably the best keeper in Serie A, then there usually isn’t much debate over who will start each of your matches. That remains the case for this Saturday’s match against Napoli. Samir Handanovic is in the midst of another very strong season for Inter and I can’t imagine they’ll take a chance and not start him in an away match where they need a win. Inter may need a special performance from Handanovic here to advance, but if there’s anybody who can deliver one on command, it’s Handanovic.
