CB: Alessandro Bastoni

With Diego Godin likely unavailable, the most likely player to replace him on Saturday is also the player Inter appears to be lining up to replace him. Inter clearly has a lot of faith in Alessandro Bastoni if they’re ready to let Godin leave after just one year. Now Inter will be asking him to stop a Napoli attack that is much more dangerous than their results this year. Bastoni has looked up to the task so far this season and if he continues to step up for Inter then we could be seeing the start of a very talented young pairing between him and Milan Skriniar with Stefan de Vrij rounding out the defense for the next few years.

CB: Stefan de Vrij

Inter Milan has boasted one of the best defenses in Serie A this year and that is due in large part to them being anchored by Stefan de Vrij. He has been one of Inter’s most reliable players all season long as they have dealt with injuries in front of the defense. He has also been the experienced leader in a young defense whenever Diego Godin hasn’t been available. If there’s anything that Inter doesn’t need to worry about on Saturday, it’s a strong performance from de Vrij.

CB: Milan Skriniar

Unlike Bastoni, Milan Skriniar is the young talent that we can definitely now call a known quantity. Inter Milan has been calling on him regularly throughout recent seasons and there’s no reason to believe that is going to change any time soon. Skriniar rarely disappoints and should’ve many big clubs salivating about the idea of maybe being able to pry him away from Inter now that they have another prospect who could fill his shoes. No matter what, we know that Skriniar will be starting on Saturday and it’s probably safe to assume that Inter will feel good about that decision after the match.
