LW: Cristiano Ronaldo 4.5/10

I thought that some time off would give us the best version of Cristiano Ronaldo that Juve had seen yet. That was definitely not the case on Friday. Not only did he fail to convert a penalty early in the match, but he never looked particularly dangerous at any point in the match. It was the type of thoroughly uninspiring performance that we hadn’t seen from Ronaldo since 2019 and it made it very difficult for Juve’s attack to get going. Hopefully this poor form doesn’t last long because he’ll need to be much better for the final or Juve is going to be in trouble.

ST: Paulo Dybala 7/10

Paulo Dybala also wasn’t able to make the key difference in this match, but he was Juve’s best attacking player on Friday. He created some of their few chances and gave Milan’s defense trouble throughout the match. Hopefully his high level of play will lead to some scoring in the Coppa final, but it wasn’t enough on Friday. Even if he doesn’t start scoring, Dybala won’t have to worry about losing his starting spot to Gonzalo Higuain any time soon.

RW: Douglas Costa 6.5/10

Douglas Costa was definitely a problem for AC Milan, but I just feel like he wasn’t enough of a problem. He had opportunity to use his pace to open up chances on breakaways, but ended up making some bad decisions that squandered those chances. He was very active in the attack and there were positive signs that he should be able to elevate the attack the rest of the season. It just didn’t pay off in this match.
