Federico Bernardeschi 5.5/10

Federico Bernardeschi wasn’t able to help Juve finally break through Milan’s defense after he came on as a sub, but he was at least a positive presence. He gave Juve a dangerous option going forward and was one of the few players who actually felt like they could make something happen for Juve late in the match. If he can keep that up then maybe he’ll be able to give Juve a solid option off the bench the rest of the way.

Adrien Rabiot 5/10

Before the hiatus, Adrien Rabiot looked set to take over a starting role for Juve, but in this match he came off the bench and wasn’t able to make his presence felt in the match. Hopefully we see more from him soon because Juve needs him to be the option that Matuidi isn’t anymore.

More from Serie A

Sami Khedira 5/10

Unsurprisingly, Sami Khedira wasn’t good for much of anything when he came on as a sub. In fact, his introduction to the match brought an end to just about anything positive Juve had done in the match. It’s really time for Juve’s management to see what the rest of us do every time Khedira takes the field.

Juan Cuadrado 5.5/10

Juan Cuadrado wasn’t in the match long and wasn’t able to accomplish much in the match, but he at least provided Juve with an element of danger when they weren’t getting anything done at the end of the match. He suddenly has a real battle on his hands for the starting right back spot. Hopefully it brings the best out of both him and Danilo the rest of the season.

Manager: Maurizio Sarri 5/10

I really didn’t know what i was going to think of Sarri when I started trying to write this section. In the one hand, he is obviously in an unprecedented situation right now and that was always going to make it difficult for Juve to shine in this match. However, this Juve didn’t look much different than the one we saw before the hiatus. To me, the most troubling thing about the match was Sarri’s management in the second half. His 3 player swap completely threw Juve out of any kind of groove they had found in the match. I also really didn’t like that Aaron Ramsey didn’t even appear in the match because they’re going to need him during the week and it would’ve been smart to give him a chance to get his legs under him first.

Next. 5 players Juventus should sign this summer. dark

It’s hard to tell how much impact Sarri could have actually had on this match, but whatever influence he did have didn’t seem to accomplish much. The fact that we’ve seen Bayern Munich thrive in their return leads me to believe that we should have been able to expect more from Juve in this match. Maybe this is just a bump and Sarri can prove me wrong in a few days. Maybe this is a sign that Juve is headed for the downfall they’ve likely deserved all season. We’ll start to see how things take shape on Wednesday.
