#4 Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele joined Barcelona in a deal valued up to 147 million euros from Dortmund in 2017 but his time in Spain has been disrupted by injury. He has had only 35 La Liga starts for Barcelona in his three seasons at the club. Now he is recovering from the hamstring injury that sidelined him since February 3.

Dembele’s principal strength is his ability when running with the ball. He loves taking on the opponents one-on-one with the ball at this feet. He has achieved 2.7 successful dribbles per game in La Liga and is usually fouled two times per game in UCL. Dembele’s primary strength is his ability when running with the ball. The Barcelona winger can create space without the ball. He loves staying wide to create space for a through ball, which results in a shot. This is especially useful when the defenders are compact in the central areas and neglect the flanks. Despite only making nine appearances – a total of 492 minutes – across all competitions this season, Dembele will be eager to prove his worth.

#3 Arthur Melo

Last season, Barcelona had all but acknowledged that Arthur Melo was the rightful heir to the legendary Xavi’s throne. Now Arthur is being linked with a swap deal involving Pjanic from Juventus or a move to Inter Milan.

He hasn’t been able to fit into the side alongside Frenkie de Jong leading to their midfield problems. Arthur has 23 appearances in all competitions this season due to injury.

Arthur made clear his desire to remain with Barcelona back in April but will have to prove a point in La Liga starting against Real Mallorca.
