Arsenal are finally back, and here’s how they could lineup.

The wait for a return to Premier League football has been a long and gruelling one. It’s been, what? Two months at least; I honestly lost count. But now it’s back, and Premier League fans are treated to an absolute cracker on restart day.

Arsenal will take on Manchester City, as Mikel Arteta gets his long-awaited return to face his former club. It is a game-in-hand for both clubs, so an important match to hopefully pick up some much-needed extra points.

Here’s how I think Arsenal will lineup in order to maximise their chances…

GK: Bernd Leno

No questions asked here, really. The German shot-stopper is Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper and for good reason. He has saved the Gunners many points this season as he is accustomed to dealing with the dodgy defence in front of him.

He will hope that his teammates put in maximum effort to prevent the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva getting in behind, but if there are any one-on-one situations, fans will get a confidence boost with Bernd Leno protecting the sticks.

Providing he is fit, of course, which we have no reason to believe otherwise, Leno will start.
