RB: Hector Bellerin

Again, I don’t think there will be many questions asked in this position. Manchester City have plenty of pace in their attack, particularly out wide. That said, Arsenal should organise their defence to best deal with this. Bellerin is one of the fastest players in the league, so if anyone can keep up with City’s pace, he can. It’ll be good to see him back in action.

CB: David Luiz

For some reason, fans don’t seem to be shouting about how much Luiz has improved the defence. Probably because it’s not commonplace to praise any Arsenal defenders. However, since arriving from Chelsea, the Brazil international has been very vocal in his approach, and has been full hands-on-deck as he isn’t afraid to put his body on the line to win back possession for his side.

Another trait which makes Luiz a sure starter in this match is his ability to pass out from the back, and with style. There’s no doubt that Guardiola will tell his men to press high, so to have a composed passer in the back-line will serve Arsenal well.

CB: Shkodran Mustafi

Shkodran Mustafi has significantly improved ever since Mikel Arteta took charge, so I expect him to continue his good form in this match. Mustafi has even scored against City in the past, although he still needs to make amends for his shambles when he was outmuscled by Aguero of all people. I’m sure he will continue his good form in this match.

LB: Kieran Tierney

The player I’m most excited to see return to action is Kieran Tierney. He is yet to play under Arteta, but the two seem to be praising each other a lot lately which excites me. He will need to be defensively solid, but I trust him in this department more than Bukayo Saka, who excels in the final third.
