Liverpool: 5 players who will benefit from Premier League restart
#4 Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has been one of the breakthrough players for Liverpool this season, making useful contributions in FA cup. With Adam Lallana sure to leave this summer, Klopp has said they won’t need to find a replacement because of Jones’ performances. Curtis Jones is a gifted and skilled player with an eye for a pass and talent to score stunner goals especially that curler against Everton. With the Premier League almost secured, Klopp will look to give the youngster a few opportunities in midfield to help him get a Premier League medal as well.

#3 Naby Keita
Naby Keita arrived at Anfield last summer for a transfer fee of around £52.5m. Keita was one of the Bundesliga’s best players over his two seasons in RB Leipzig. He was also supposed to add an extra dimension to Jurgen Klopp’s midfield. However, injuries, adjusting to a Premier League’s physicality and Klopp’s sophisticated tactics led to Keita stagnating on Merseyside.
Keita’s swift movements to drop into deeper midfield positions supporting defences can cause the opposition to multiple problems. If the opponent marking Keita allows him to move to the ball unchallenged, he can drive ahead from the back, obtaining momentum and speed through the center of the pitch and towards the final third.
Despite his impressive work rate and ball penetration capabilities, Keita’s aerial control is weak – and this can leave the team exposed on the counter-attack. If he stays fit and continues to perform the role he occupied in the last few weeks before coronavirus pandemic, then Klopp will reap the rewards.
