It’s important for Chelsea fans to be realistic. Yes, they may be a wealthy club, but can any club really afford to be having a blockbuster transfer window this summer, with all that’s been going on in the world? This is highly realistic, and given their seemingly imminent signing of Timo Werner, perhaps they should be grateful with this move.

Ryan Fraser wouldn’t cost Chelsea a dime. He is leaving the Vitality Stadium and deservedly so. Unless the Cherries buck their ideas up, they will be playing in the EFL Championship again and Fraser has done all he can do with the club at this point.

He has carried them over the last few seasons in terms of providing chances to his attacking teammates. If he can do this with a struggling Bournemouth side, then just imagine what he could do with his assets at Chelsea. Especially if the Blues sign Werner, they could have a frightening attack with Fraser entering the prime stages of his career.

Of course, there will be plenty of competition when it comes to signing Fraser. Their London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also showing plenty of interest, but if either of them end up signing Willian, this would give Chelsea a boosted chance to sign Fraser. Whether he will make it at Stamford Bridge remains to be seen, but I can say one thing won’t sure, no matter what happens he won’t be a huge downgrade on Willian.
