#4 Danilo

Having lost his place to Juan Cuadrado since moving from Manchester City, he will be looking to cement his place in Sarri’s squad. Sarri doesn’t want his full-backs to do a full ultra-attack something Danilo would prefer as he is known for his pressing and clearances.

The Brazilian defender has already won the Premier League and Champions League twice, one La Liga, Portuguese Primera Liga thrice with Porto and comes with experience on the big stage. Danilo under Pep learnt the ability to press and win the ball back quickly. What he learnt at City will be crucial under Sarri too, considering the similarities in systems.

He may not be an attacking full-back like Joao Cancelo but can undoubtedly score goals once in a while. But he will still be crucial for a side that will face defensive problems in the case of injuries to Chiellini and Bonucci.

#3 De Sciglio

He made a move to Juventus in 2017. Since then he has failed to consolidate his position at right-back with the likes of Danilo and Cuadrado fighting among each other. Sciglio is now being linked with a move to Barcelona as apart of the Pjanic swap deal. Barcelona are interested because of his versatility in playing both flanks and his ability to defend.

De Sciglio is a 27-year-old Italian international with lots of experience in Serie A having played 191 matches for Milan and Juventus. It would take him time to settle in a league outside Italy and get used to the style of play in those leagues. So he is a player who would fit well in Sarri’s defensive plans and will look to take full advantage of any opportunity he gets in the remainder of the season.
