1. Timo Werner

Now that the German has signed for Chelsea from RB Leipzig, he will be over the moon. However, something that will make him even more ecstatic and that will help him settle in some more is the signing of his countryman and international teammate Kai Havertz.

The two have a strong working relationship and having played both against and alongside each other, they have a strong understanding of their strengths and weaknesses.

While collective teamwork is undoubtedly important, it’s also critical that solid links and partnerships are made within the attack. Chelsea fans will know all about this from the Eden Hazard and Diego Costa days, two players they miss very much.

Well, I’m not saying that Werner and Havertz will reach that level, but they certainly have the potential to. Where Werner will make an effort off the ball to outmuscle his opponents and find clever space, Havertz will have a keen eye on him as he dribbles the ball forward to provide the assists.

The good news is that whenever Werner is not feeling up to scoring, which is a rarity in itself, Havertz can step up to the mark and add to the scoring for the London blues.

The Bundesliga is a different kettle of fish to the Premier League, but I won’t bore you with the same narrative. Werner and Havertz are top quality players, and they can make it tick on any stage.
