Selling Aubameyang wouldn’t be the end of the world for Arsenal.

As the summer transfer window is approaching faster than a prime Theo Walcott, Arsenal must prepare themselves for both the good and the bad. Obviously, the fans won’t want to lose Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, but if worst comes to worst, it won’t be as bad as people think. Here are the three good sides to selling Aubameyang.

3. Money money money, must be funny…

Yes, get in! This is a new personal record, I’ve managed to make an ABBA reference within the first slide.

Perhaps the main attraction to Arsenal, in favour of selling Aubameyang is that they will receive a nice wad of cash. How much they can receive given the current state of the transfer market remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure, it’s better than losing him for free.

Losing him for free is a very real possibility, too. I think people can sometimes forget that the Gabon international’s contract runs out next summer. As Arsenal fans, we know the pain of losing our best players for free (or receiving Mkhitaryan, in return which is arguably worse). That said, the board should look to avoid this as much as possible and snatch as much money as possible for Aubameyang.
