Chelsea: 3 players who have impressed since returning to action

1. Christian Pulisic

Perhaps the most in-form player in the Premier League right now is Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic. The American wonderkid has shown immense form to score two impressive goals in both matches since the return to action. This is now the highest goal-scoring season of his career too, so whoever was calling him a flop can eat their words.

Pulisic is a rapid player and Chelsea fans have been reminded of this in the last week. Not many people can break through Manchester City’s rigid defence but Pulisic did it a multitude of times and, in all honesty, he could have had a hat-trick if luck was on his side.

The goal that he did score was good enough though. A rapid burst of pace saw him expose not one but two Manchester City defenders, leaving him one on one with the keeper. With the form he’s in, he was never going to miss and he converted with great aplomb.

Pulisic will undeniably want to be playing in the Champions League against next season so he will be pushing to qualify with Chelsea. With Manchester United sharing points with Tottenham recently, this will have done the Blues a world of good.

To see Pulisic continuing to tear up the English game will come as great news to USMNT fans, as they dub him to be the next big thing. He’s certainly proven that he can make it in Europe, it’s just a case of how far.
