Another long-standing transfer target for Chelsea to consider this summer is Nicolas Tagliafico, the 27-year-old Argentine international who currently plays for Ajax Amsterdam, the champions of Eredivisie.

Tagliafico is a terrific full-back who has an abundance of pace and is able to overlap the winger well. He is an excellent passer of the ball too, as he tends to complete most matches with a high completion rate of above 80%.

Given the smooth-flowing nature of Chelsea’s attack, this will be an incredible asset to bring. But unlike Sandro, Tagliafico is not scared to cut inside and take on a shot when his side needs him to. This season in the Dutch top flight, Tagliafico has netted on three occasions.

He was going through a spell of terrific form, I can recall, before the Coronavirus put an end to the Dutch season. I remember thinking as an Arsenal fan “wow, I really wish to sign him”, however, I am aware that Chelsea are a very strong candidate too, perhaps annoyingly.

He is everything Chelsea needs and would be a cheaper bet than this next option, so fans of the Blues should be very happy.
