Liverpool has been crowned as the champions after their long-awaited games were resumed.

Liverpool FC was confirmed as the champions of England after their rivals Chelsea beat Manchester City in the early decider and ended up delighting the long-awaited LFC fans by making them witness their team confirm about lifting the title for the first time in 30 years.

To evolve from the title-winning season for defending their crown, the Reds have been linked with one of the biggest star midfielders Thiago Alcantara from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Here are 4 things that will possibly happen if Thiago ends up joining the Reds:

Dynamic midfield evolution

More from Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC has been famously successful with their particular tactic of playing with extremely energetic workhorses. But the signing of Thiago Alcantara could gift the Reds with something very unique.

The sale of Philippe Coutinho was the end of running the creative attacking midfielder options, but Thiago is more of a perfect creative defensive midfielder option the Reds will have for their starting lining up in the upcoming season.

Creativity freedom

The purchase of Thiago will also make the Reds divide their midfield options into different positions. The Brazilian will be an open competition for players like Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum.

With the departure of Adam Lallana next season, the Reds will have one less attacking midfield option. The departure could mean few players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita will heavily focus on playing the creative role more than they ever did for the defending champions.

The departure of a few players

With the arrival of Thiago Alcantara could result in giving serious competition for already competing players for starting regularly for the champions.

The players that most likely to leave next season due to their lack of time game time are Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana.

The promising signs of Curtis Jones getting more game time can be noticed in their last games of the season.

Strong title defenders

The rivals of Liverpool have been already focusing on strengthening their squad to start their preparation for next season’s title challenge.

Chelsea has already strengthened their squad by signing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner – who was linked with the Reds as well in the recent times.

Manchester City and Manchester United are both expected to further strengthen their team after having disappointing seasons for their respective standards.

Thiago Alcantara looks set to leave Bayern Munich – the unbeatable champions in their league. He previously played for Spanish title-contending giants FC Barcelona.

The purpose of joining Liverpool makes a lot of sense for the Brazilian and it will be his aim is to make them strong title defenders yet again.

Can the signing  of Thiago make Liverpool unstoppable?
