Greenwood is perfect anyway

If I were to ask, name the top five clinical finishers in the Premier League, who would you list?

The top five, in order, are Anthony Martial (MUFC), Danny Ings (Southampton), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal), Mason Greenwood (MUFC), and Jamie Vardy (Leicester City).

That’s right; Mason Greenwood has the fourth-highest finishing rate in the Premier League.

More from Manchester United

Though he is slated to be a striker, he has been gaining experience at the right-wing in a rapidly developing three-prong attack with Martial and Marcus Rashford.

The 17-year old has scored his eight league goals with an expected goals per shot (xG/Sh) of 0.09. This makes his finishing rate even more incredible. Martial, for instance, has an xG/Sh of 0.17.

Greenwood’s incredible development is likely to continue, which makes Sancho not an immediate priority at the current price tag.

To compete for trophies next year, the Red Devils need a holding midfielder and a center-back.

Bournemouth center-back Nathan Ake (Transfermarkt value of €27.2 million) who was chatted up by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after their recent match is an upgrade from Victor Lindelof.

Though Nemanja Matic, who signed a new contract this week, and Fred have been enjoying a renaissance of late, United need a technically gifted, faster, and younger holding mid-fielder. Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi (€34.9 million) and West Ham’s Declan Rice (€48.1 million) would be excellent options to meet Man United’s needs.

With the money they could spend on Sancho, the Red Devils can get two high-quality pieces to solidify their line-up.
