Chelsea must avoid selling this midfielder at all costs.
Frank Lampard is going to use this transfer window to his advantage, I think that is certain. Having already signed Timo Werner, the English manager wants to use this opportunity to build on the team since it is his first real opening to do so when you consider Chelsea were facing a penalty in the last transfer window.
The conditions are not ideal, obviously. The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in an economic crisis as far as football clubs are concerned, but Chelsea will be thankful for their saved cash last time out.
Hakim Ziyech will also arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer, with Kai Havertz also very strongly linked. It’s fair to say that Chelsea’s midfield options are stellar for the upcoming season, which may result in the need to let some go.

N’Golo Kante should be the last of the bunch, though. The reason I say this is because no player offers what Kante can; the ability to search and destroy, doing all the nitty-gritty tasks and winning back possession for his side.
Truth be told, ever since Maurizio Sarri was given the role at Chelsea, Kante lost this role but in order to get the best out of him again, Lampard must use common sense by returning him to his favoured role in the defensive zone of midfield.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport though, Lampard is apparently listening to offers for selling him. This, to me, just seems plain ridiculous and it’s like Lampard is giving up on him already when we all know there’s a world-class midfielder in Kante. I mean, it’s not like he’s been in bad form either since on average he’s been pretty good since project restart.
If you ask me, it should be Jorginho that should be sold. There is obvious interest in him and Frank Lampard isn’t his biggest fan, despite starting the season pretty well. With Ziyech and likely Havertz coming into the equation, Jorginho is more disposable than Kante is.
Do you think Chelsea should sell N’Golo Kante this summer?
