Arsenal have been in immense form since project restart.

Well, well, well. Who would have thought that after their disappointing loss to North London rivals Tottenham, Arsenal fans would be sitting happy about two consecutive wins against two of the best teams in the world, Liverpool and Manchester City?

This is exactly the case as a 2-1 win against the champions midweek saw them beat Manchester City by a scoreline of 2-0. It was not a comfortable string of games but Mikel Arteta got the job done regardless.

Here are five reasons why I think Arsenal will finish in the top four next season.

5. It’s a more realistic target

I could easily be delusional by claiming that Arsenal could be title contenders next season. After the string of form we’ve shown lately, there are no limits to what we could claim. However, this is completely unrealistic so we as fans shouldn’t be expecting a Premier League title for some time.

However, the top four spot would still be incredible progress, don’t get it twisted. Bearing in mind that we are currently tenth in the Premier League table, to climb all the way to fourth in his first season in charge would be more than respectable on Arteta’s behalf.

More on that man next.
