2. Financial backing from the board

Mikel Arteta has spoken quite highly of Stan Kroenke lately, claiming that if he ever needed anything, he could give the owner a call. Well, after last night’s performance and indeed if the Gunners go on to win the final, the wealthy American owner has all the reason in the world to trust the Spanish manager.

With the summer transfer window coming up and the obvious implications of the Coronavirus pandemic, Arsenal will need all the financial help they can get. Kroenke made it where he is through investments so he has a keen eye on what works and what doesn’t, and he has no reason to believe that Arteta isn’t a worthy investment.

It’s time for Kroenke to put his hand in his pocket and help out Arteta in this transfer window since he’s proven he has what it takes to rebuild Arsenal with this backing.

1. Time for the young players to shine

Arsenal owe a large part of their form to some of theit younger players. Since project restart, the likes of Bukayo Saka, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock have all been in immense form. Let’s not forget that Eddie Nketiah has been impressive and Ainsley Maitland-Niles proved last night why the fans love him so much.

It’s for this reason that I believe Arsenal will push for greater things. These young players tend to be the stars of the Europa League, so it’s about time they got their reward of playing in the Champions League. If Arsenal truly want it, they have a young core of players to help them achieve great things, which I’m certain Arteta will utilise well.

Where do you think Arsenal will finish in the league this season?
