Chelsea definitely stand a chance of competing for the Premier League title next season.

This season was somewhat of a write-off for the neutral Premier League fan. Liverpool dominated the entirety of the season and it never looked likely that anyone would challenge them. Even Manchester City, who were the closest bet, were a long way away.

This may sound like blasphemy coming from an Arsenal fan, but my prediction for next season is that Chelsea will win the Premier League title. But hear me out, as I have compiled the five main reasons behind my thought process:

1. The spending power

It seems unfair to predict the outcome of next season already considering this season is yet to finish and the summer transfer window has not yet commenced. However, I do believe that Chelsea will have the strongest transfer window of any Premier League side.

They have already invested money into bringing Timo Werner to the club and this is largely down to the capital the club saved during their transfer ban last time out. Given the implications of the Coronavirus, their recent ban now seems like a blessing in disguise since they have more money accumulated to get an edge over their closest Premier League competitors.

More on that next.
