2. Big games are no sweat

Okay, that’s an over-exaggeration. However, nobody can deny the solid improvements Mikel Arteta has made to the Arsenal setup in big games. Particularly the defence tends to be prominent, as the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz and Kieran Tierney all shined against Liverpool and Manchester City.

If Arsenal stick to their philosophy of having men behind the ball at all times, then they will surely sail past Chelsea. However, the game will be more open so Arsenal mustn’t fall under the trap of letting their defence slide, because the strong Chelsea attack can surely punish them.

1. It would be typical of Arsenal

Within the last decade or so, coming towards the end of Arsene Wenger’s reign as manager, it was typical to see the Gunners winning the FA Cup in their worst of seasons. Even when finishing low in the table, they still managed to salvage their season by lifting the FA Cup trophy in May and often going onto win the Community Shield too.

This is why it really wouldn’t surprise me to see Arsenal go against the tale of the season by beating Chelsea in this one. The gap of four places between them in the league shouldn’t matter, because Arsenal always want to give the fans something to cheer about come to the end of the season.
