#7 Tammy Abraham (Chelsea)

Like many others, Abraham too fizzled out after a whirlwind start to the campaign but his tally of 15 goals was too hard to ignore. After starring for Aston Villa in the Championship last year, the Blues recalled him at the end of his loan spell and the 22-year old successfully made the step up to the Premier League, even becoming the youngest ever Chelsea player to net thrice in a top-flight match after the hat-trick to Wolves on matchday five. Despite the loss of form in this calendar year, Abraham’s quality cannot be denied, so Frank Lampard might keep him for next season even though Timo Werner will be the regular starter upfront.

#6 Mason Mount (Chelsea)

Another talented young gun to rise to the fore with Chelsea, he too successfully replicated his Championship heroics in the Premier League. Having already played under Lampard at Derby County last year, Mount has played 50 times already this season, which shows how much the coach trusts him, while the 21-year old duly repaid it with seven goals and six assists from 37 league games, including an absolute belter of a free-kick on the final day which inspired the Blues to a victory over Wolves and secure top-four finish.

#5 Joe Gomez (Liverpool)

Liverpool’s backline consists of world-beaters like Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andrew Robertson, but Joe Gomez too came up trumps to show he’s no half-shabby. After starting from the bench initially, he soon forced his way into the side and totally usurped Dejan Lovren to become the preferred choice at the heart of the defense besides Van Dijk. Pacey, powerful, and athletic, Gomez wonderfully complimented the towering Dutchman and looks set to feature in more games for the champions next season.

#4 Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City)

He may not have usurped Sergio Aguero as number one choice striker for the Skyblues yet, but Gabriel Jesus certainly proved to be an effective back-up and even stepped up to the plate in the Argentine’s absence for the home stretch of the campaign. With 14 goals and eight assists, the Brazilian registered his best figures yet in the top-flight on both counts and was instrumental in helping City finish the season very strongly.
