3 reasons why Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will stay at Arsenal

Arsenal fans will definitely want Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to stay.

He came close to winning the Premier League golden boot but he was Arsenal’s top talisman by a country mile. As he nears the end of his contract, the Gunners simply cannot afford to lose Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his goal contribution is irreplaceable.

Here are three reasons why I think Arsenal will be successful in their bid to keep Aubameyang.

#1 The club is on an upward trajectory

In recent seasons gone by, I would have been nowhere near as confident in the club to keep ahold of their best player. However, with Mikel Arteta at the helm, it seems likely that nothing can go wrong at the moment.

Obviously, I don’t wish to be naive here as I know this club like the back of my hand, but it does seem like those seasons of despair are in the past, and there is a new feel about the club now.

Winning the FA Cup recently and securing European qualification along with that just personified the progress that Arteta has made in such a short period of time. I am certain that Aubameyang will see this progress, which he is very much a reason for, and will trust in Arteta’s project.
