Manchester United have made their transfer strategy clear.

Now that the summer transfer window is well underway, Manchester United have been hard at work. They can afford to relax a little in preparation for the Europa League campaign, given the 5-0 advantage they have over LASK; not that it will come to matter, but those five goals are all away goals for United, too.

That said, the Champions League is in the bag for United next season, whether they go on to win the Europa League or not. This will give them a massive boost when it comes to signing top-quality players in the transfer market.

Rumour has it, fans shouldn’t expect the signing of Jack Grealish to happen anytime soon. This is because, according to the Daily Mail, the United board have prioritised a move for Jadon Sancho, but they will return to try and sign Grealish towards the end of the window. It’s thought that a fee of around £80m will be required for the Aston Villa midfielder.

More from Manchester United

Villa narrowly missed out on relegation on the final day of the season, which would have come as an annoyance to the Manchester United fans. Had they been relegated, it would have been much easier to sign Grealish and the Red Devils could have gotten him cheaper.

However, it looks likely that he will move away anyway. Having been with Villa for many seasons now, and helping them achieve promotion, the young Englishman is ready for new ventures and he is certainly ready for the step up to the Champions League.

If United manage to acquire both Sancho and Grealish, it would be financially draining but a very attractive transfer window. It wouldn’t be perfect, though, as there is no denying that a centre back must be signed also.

Do you think Manchester United will sign Jack Grealish this summer?
