Chelsea star tells his friends he wants to sign for Arsenal this summer

Arsenal have received a huge boost should they wish to sign Willian.
After his duty in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, which lets face it is Chelsea’s most pointless match of the season, Willian will become a free agent. Having already been in contact with a number of different clubs including Arsenal, it appears he’s made up his mind.
According to a report from The Mirror, Willian has informed his closest friends that he wants to make the move to the Emirates Stadium. Inter Miami appear to have offered him an inviting wage, which goes to show how much he really does want the Arsenal move if he turns that down.
This type of commitment is attractive, definitely. But Arsenal mustn’t be fooled too easily. Willian could equally only want a move to Arsenal because it’s efficient, since his family wouldn’t have to move to the United States which I imagine is complicated at the moment given the pandemic.

Willian watched on as Chelsea lost to the Gunners in the FA Cup final. He wouldn’t have been too fussed, of course, since he was not a feature in the match and he’s had his eye on the red side of London for some time now anyway.
Watching Mikel Arteta‘s philosophy put into practice before his very eyes would have appealed to Willian. The Spaniard loves to centre the play around his wingers, which means Willian would be a key feature in the XI if he signed.
However, I do believe that Arsenal must aim higher than Willian. If he is signed alongside another top quality player, then I wouldn’t be opposed to the move; it is free after all. But Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is stalling in his contract talks and he would love to see the board sign some top-quality names, I’m sure. Willian isn’t the quality he’d be looking for I’m afraid.
