3 players that will benefit from Arsenal signing Willian

This morning, Arsenal announced the signing of Willian.

Arsenal fans were greeted to some great news when waking up this morning. The Gunners have signed Willan as a free agent, the Brazil international making the switch from West London to North London.

Watching his first interview with the club, it’s clear to see why many of the fans are excited to welcome him and see him play. He kept mentioning that he wants to see the club shine again, meaning he is very aware of Mikel Arteta’s project and wants to be a part of this. Here are three players that he will directly benefit.

3. Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli is going through a rather tough time in an Arsenal shirt, but his Gunners career is far from over. The Brazil international will feel very happy that he has another countryman coming to join him, alongside Willian’s former teammate David Luiz, of course.

Martinelli is trying to get a consistent place in the Arsenal XI in a position which Willian is very familiar with; the winger’s role. Willian will be able to give him a couple of tricks of the trade, I’m certain. Either way, it’ll just be nice for the youngster to have someone who’s shared a similar start to his career.
