Arsenal won’t let their losses stop them from chasing Partey.

Arsenal, along with many clubs in the Premier League, have had to accept their losses from the Coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has held no biases and has affected every club in the world, the EPL is no exception.

Of course, though, the media like to hound and give Arsenal a hard time above any other club, so they are for some reason expected to make no signings because they’ve had to make redundancies.

Of course, though, the Gunners won’t listen to this nonsense. They have a project to achieve under Mikel Arteta and they want to excite the fans in this transfer window. Having already secured the signing of Willian, it’s now time to strengthen the midfield.

A player who has been continually linked with Arsenal throughout the buildup to this transfer window is Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian midfielder was recently knocked out of the UCL by Red Bull Leipzig and could look to move to the greatest league in the world next season.

According to a new report from the Daily Star, Arsenal have maintained their interest in Partey and will look to increase their efforts to sign him. He is likely to set the Gunners back some cash, but this could be made up by player sales or even a potential swap (with Matteo Guendouzi on the fringe of leaving the club).

Thomas Partey is an excellent midfielder whose progressive passing stands out the most. He is always looking to get the ball forward, rather than stagnating play with sideway passes. This is an excellent contrast to Granit Xhaka, who will be in charge of dictating play and ensuring composure in the midfield while Partey does his thing.

Do you think Arsenal will be able to pull off the signing of Thomas Partey this summer?
