Chelsea could finally get their man in the very near future.

Chelsea have been storming ahead in the Premier League transfer window. Frank Lampard is not letting his rivals get their beaks in front as Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are not enough to satisfy him. He wants more.

According to a new report from Bild (via Express), the Chelsea fans should be hoping to see a deal for Kai Havertz finalised within the coming weeks. The outlet claims that a deal should reach the finish line within the next 10 days.

This is incredibly exciting news for Chelsea fans because it means they will have three top quality players joining them ready for next season. These signings, plus a goalkeeper and perhaps a full-back, would put them on a nice pedestal to challenge for the title next season.

More from Chelsea FC

Kai Havertz will look forward to playing some more UCL football next season alongside his German countryman Werner. The two are familiar with each other so they will look to add some Bundesliga magic to the Stamford Bridge XI.

Havertz will act as the link between midfield and attack for Chelsea. Therefore, he will need to form a close understanding with the likes of Mateo Kovacic and Werner, which I’m certain he will be able to do. He has been a huge talisman for Bayer Leverkusen this season, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.

What this means for Mason Mount remains to be seen. However, Chelsea fans will hope there is a way of integrating both of them into the starting XI, since both are exceptional young talents. Lampard is a big fan of Mount, he’s made this no secret. Therefore, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the English manager fitting them both into the squad.
