Chelsea fans will get a good kick out of this one.
Frank Lampard is the manager of Chelsea now, after Maurizio Sarri had a good stint taking over from Antonio Conte. One player who didn’t enjoy his time under Sarri though, is N’Golo Kante; he was frequently played out of position and the misuse of the French midfielder was probably the only downside to Sarri managing the Blues.
However, Kante is keen to return to his glory days and is willing to work on the mistakes he made under Sarri. In many ways, he would like to return to the player he once was under the tutelage of Conte, but don’t get it twisted, Kante is not pushing to work with the Italian manager again.
The reason I say this is because it’s known now that Conte would like to sign the Chelsea midfielder for his new club Inter Milan. However, a report from Goal suggests that Kante is happy playing in London, and he wants to push for a place under Frank Lampard. Lampard has also spoken highly of Kante, according to Goal, reminding fans how much of a “huge” asset Kante is to the club.

And they don’t need reminding either, the midfielder is one like no other. He is known for his immense work rate and ability to always find himself in the right place in the right time. I lose count of how many times he wins back possession for Chelsea in a single match, so of course he is important.
His determination to succeed at Chelsea is what makes him a real fan favourite. Under the right guidance in Frank Lampard, the 29-year-old will only continue to improve as he is playing in the prime stages of his midfield career. After all, Lampard knows what it takes to go down in London folklore.
Do you think N’Golo Kante will remain a Chelsea player next season?
