Top 10 goalkeepers with most clean sheets in 2019/20 season

The 2019/20 season belonged to the goalkeepers.
#10 Samir Handanovic (Inter Milan) – 16 clean sheets
Inter Milan made big strides under Antonio Conte last season, finishing runners-up in both Serie A and Europa League. The prolific attacking vanguard took most of the plaudits for the amazing run, but another important reason was the sturdy Handanovic, who continues to go strong at 36 and shows no signs of slowing down.

The Slovenian veteran had an outstanding campaign and registered 16 clean sheets in 48 games as the Nerazzurri proved to be an extremely mean outfit. He showed excellent reflexes and pulled off plenty of jaw-dropping saves. At 193 cms, his towering stature also allowed him to clear aerial threats with ease whilst also stopped efforts from close range.
#9 Alisson Becker (Liverpool) – 16 clean sheets
The impact Alisson has had on Liverpool since arriving in 2018 cannot be overstated. After playing an instrumental role in European glory last year, he was once again extraordinary between the sticks as the Reds cruised to the Premier League title. His tally of 16 clean sheets came in 11 fewer games than Handanovic, hence the Brazilian is ranked higher.
Adept at saving long shots and crucial to playing out from the back, Alisson even had an assist to his name, sending a long ball for Mohamed Salah’s strike against Manchester United in February. For all his stellar numbers, he narrowly missed out on a second consecutive Golden Glove to his Manchester City counterpart and Brazil compatriot, Ederson.
#8 Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (FC Barcelona) – 17 clean sheets
There were very few positives for Barcelona in the catastrophic 2019/20 season and Ter Stegen, as you’d expect, was one of them. He was at his shot-stopping best, making 89 saves and keeping 14 clean sheets in La Liga alone as the German international was arguably the most in-form player in the squad after only Lionel Messi.
Confident, agile, and excellent with the ball at his feet, Ter Stegen had more pass completion rate in the league than any goalkeeper and also made two assists. He never shied away from running out of his line to clear any danger nor put his body on the line to dive into saves. Without him, the Catalans would’ve been far worse off.
