Chelsea set to send this out-of-favour forward out on loan

With incomings sorted, Chelsea can focus on shifting some players out.

Today’s the day, the EPL season will finally commence once more as the season kicks off again behind closed doors. Although, Chelsea fans will have to watch their rivals kick off the campaign first as their first match isn’t until Monday, when they travel to Brighton.

They will travel to the Southern Coast of England full of confidence; they may not have ended last season in the best fashion but having signed a multitude of talented players, Lampard will be hopeful of better things this season.

However, by signing a lot of players there becomes problems. It leaves any manager with a difficult task of moving some players in, especially in the positions which have been strengthened. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech can all improve the attack and play in the position of one out-of-favour Chelsea attacker; Callum Hudson-Odoi.

That said, it comes as no real surprise to see that the Blues are considering his options elsewhere and they seem to have reached a consensus that a loan move may be best for him, according to a new report from 90min. It comes as a result of Lampard not being over the moon with his performances.

Hudson-Odoi may take after his young English counterparts Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham by taking a move abroad to hone his skills; something that is becoming more and more common with English players in the modern age. Or, he may opt to sign for a lower-half EPL side who require his services, perhaps one of the newly-promoted sides.

Either way, there will be options for Hudson-Odoi. Ageing at 19, his ultimate goal will be to succeed in the arena of football, which I’m certain he will. Lampard will give him all the resources he needs but if after the loan spell he still feels like the youngster is not equipped to make it at Chelsea, he will be moved on. But for not, a loan move is the right call.

Do you think Callum Hudson-Odoi can make it at Chelsea?
