Arsenal face another London derby, this time as the hosts.

Coming off the back of a win to open their Premier League account, Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will be full of confidence. However, they must remain focused as the competition will be harder this time around, as West Ham will visit the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will go into this match as the favourites since the Hammers lost their opening fixture with Newcastle. They will also have more time to prepare for this match as West Ham faced an EFL Cup fixture against Charlton on Tuesday.

With all this in mind, here’s how I think Mikel Arteta will lineup in this match.

Bernd Leno

In the goalkeeper position, I don’t think there will be any doubt as to who will be starting. Bernd Leno kept a clean sheet against Fulham and at the time of writing this, it looks pretty much certain that Emiliano Martinez will make the move to Aston Villa.

Leno is an incredible shot-stopper and if anyone can stop the West Ham front-line from getting on the scoresheet, it will be the Germany international. His ability to play out from the back has also been a key feature to Arteta’s gameplan since many goals have started from the keeper opting to play the ball to his defenders rather than hoofing it forward.
