Hector Bellerin

I expect Hector Bellerin to be back in the starting XI as a wing-back, since this is the position which best serves him. Against Fulham, the Spaniard was often found in the final third and he played his part in getting the ball from defence to attack quickly. His pace will certainly benefit Arteta against West Ham.

Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is oftentimes a reliable player and even after being stripped of the captaincy, he has been key to the Gunners in his leadership qualities and relaying the messages given by Arteta. He is a great passer of the ball and as demonstrated last weekend, he is the main dictator of play in this side.

Dani Ceballos

Dani Ceballos came off from the bench in the last match but I would expect him to start in this match. Mohamed Elneny played well, don’t get me wrong, but he didn’t exactly set the world alight with his performance. That said, Arteta will stick with what he knows best by giving Ceballos the first start of his second loan spell.

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka is growing in confidence week by week and even though he’d rather be playing further up the pitch, his versatility and ability to play as a wing-back has helped Arteta whenever there have been injury problems.

While Maitland-Niles got the nod in this position, I feel like Arteta will want to rotate things and give Saka a chance to continue his great form from last season, it’ll be nice to see him donning the number 7 jersey too.
