Chelsea will need a strong lineup if they are to beat Liverpool in this one.

Both Chelsea and Liverpool got off to a good start to this Premier League season. With Chelsea winning rather comfortably against Brighton and Hove Albion and Liverpool relying on a late penalty to defeat a resilient Leeds, both will be confident heading into this match.

However, there is only one favourite for me. Chelsea looked more convincing on opening day and with a plethora of summer talent, they will be hoping to get off the mark in the first big match of the season.

However, in order to achieve the win, Frank Lampard will need to call upon his strongest players. With that in mind, here’s how I think Chelsea will lineup to host the champions Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Willy Caballero

The goalkeeper decision could go either way and of course, Frank Lampard may even sign a new option between the sticks by the time Sunday comes around. However, it is unlikely at the time of writing this.

Given Kepa’s blunder against Brighton and the fact that Chelsea have remained adamant they want to sell him in this transfer window, I think Caballero will get the nod in this match.

Playing now for both Manchester City and Chelsea, Cabellero has plenty of experience against Liverpool and indeed in the big games. While he is not the most ideal backup in the world, he is oftentimes a safe bet between the sticks, especially when faced with pressure from penalties.
