Arsenal have devised a masterplan to end the transfer window.

So far, it’s been a successful transfer window. Not only have they signed the likes of Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes, but they also managed to keep hold of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dani Ceballos. Of course, they have lost Lucas Torreira and Emiliano Martinez, who will be big losses, but they are not irreplaceable.

Torreira is a player that Arsenal fans should have expected to lose heading into this window and while the deal is yet to be confirmed, Sky Sports revealed that it’s essentially done and that the deal will be a loan move.

The Uruguay international has been known to be Arsenal’s hound in the midfield, meaning he is always full of energy and willing to carry out the nitty gritty tasks on the pitch. For this, he will certainly be missed.

However, Mikel Arteta has a plan; as has often been the case since he took charge as manager. According to a new report from ESPN, Arsenal will now turn their attention to signing the Chelsea midfielder _Jorginho_, after essentially giving up on Houssem Aouar.

Jorginho is an exceptional player and he’s demonstrated his importance in the midfield several times under Frank Lampard, however, the English manager simply sees his future elsewhere. Jorginho is a stellar penalty taker and having scored two against Crystal Palace in quick succession, this just shows how cool he can be in the box.

However, his main traits are certainly not in the final third, but rather more deeper. He is a deep-lying playmaker that likes to spray passes to wide positions, although more notably in more probing positions. This will certainly serve Arsenal well, as the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe are always looking to run in behind the defence.

Do you think Arsenal will sign Jorginho from Chelsea?
