Gabriel Magalhaes

The Brazilian defender has slotted perfectly into the Arsenal starting XI and I see no reason for Arteta to keep him on the bench in this one. Playing against a team that like to attack relentlessly, the Gunners will need to set up with defenders that are willing to put their body on the line to protect Leno.

Gabriel is a mountain and he is no stranger to using his sheer physical presence to his own advantage.

David Luiz

Again, David Luiz is essentially a sure-starter. He will obviously has his doubters from the people that don’t watch him weekly and instead base their opinions from Twitter. He didn’t have the best display against Manchester City last season, but he certainly made up for it in their FA Cup tie and I can’t name a bad performance since.

Sead Kolasinac

I know, I know. Kolasinac is certainly the weakest link in this starting XI. However, it’s a choice that needs to be made, given the recent club statement that a member of the Scottish national team had tested positive for COVID-19, which could rule out Tierney from this match as he is currently in isolation.

I’m certain that in the right company, Kolasinac would make a good addition to a back-three. He is a physical player, just like his two defensive partners. If he can focus on his positioning and spatial awareness, then he will have a good display in place of Tierney.
