Manchester United striker makes a bold claim about new teammate
By Kian Long
Manchester United brought in a multitude of new signings on deadline day.
The transfer window was already going pretty well for Manchester United, but they topped off their hard work by signing some big names on deadline day. However, there was none bigger than Edinson Cavani, who arrived in Manchester from Paris Saint-Germain.
Cavani is a huge name who brings a great reputation to the Premier League. He is often questioned for his big-game performances but there is one thing you can never fault him for; his killers’ instinct and ability to find space where no one else can.
The Manchester United squad have certainly felt the positive impact of the new signings, after they managed to come from behind against Newcastle United and win 4-1.

According to a new report from Sky Sports, Marcus Rashford has heaped a tonne of praise on Edinson Cavani. The report claims that the England international believes Cavani will help the club compete for trophies, which is a relief since this is something they have been aiming to do since Jose Mourinho left the club.
In truth, Cavani is the signing that Manchester United needed. They have been struggling in their attack for some time now and given the fact he had his first training session in Manchester today, it’s time for fans to start getting excited.
I’m aware of how cliche and ironic it sounds given United’s luck with strikers in recent times, but Cavani truly is a player that can guarantee goals if he puts his mind to it. With the vision of Bruno Fernandes and creativity of Donny van de Beek in the midfield. Cavani’s space-exploiting abilities will certainly come in handy, and it could be a good attacking philosophy for Solskjaer to build on for the season.
Do you think Edinson Cavani is what Manchester United need to win trophies or do they still need to do more?
