Hector Bellerin

The improvement of Hector Bellerin since the tail end of last season is one that is often not spoke about enough as it should be. The Spaniard has improved in his focus and decision making drastically, and he was particularly good as Arsenal beat Manchester United last time out in the league, winning the deciding penalty. He will look to be as solid as he has been against Aston Villa,

Gabriel Magalhaes

Many thought that it would take Gabriel plenty of time to adjust to the English game but he has proven those doubters wrong, oftentimes being the first name on the team sheet. He is reliable and solid more often than not and has rarely put a foot wrong in Arsenal colours, so he deserves this start.

David Luiz

This seems to be the centre back pairing of choice as far as Mikel Arteta is concerned. The two Brazilians just seem to work together hand-in-hand. Luiz will be pivotal to Arsenal in securing all three points against Aston Villa since his progressive input is always celebrated. He is able to play a good forward pass and isn’t afraid to bring the ball forward from defence when needed, while also putting his body on the line when need be.

Kieran Tierney

Again, the Scotsman won’t be kicked out the starting XI. Tierney, much like Bellerin, will play an important role in bombing forward with or without the ball. The two full-backs are always full of energy and being in good form, Tierney will look to continue this against Aston Villa.
